It asserts that what we understand as wrongdoings are fundamentally the result of our own misperceptions and projections. In forgiving others, we are, in reality, forgiving ourselves. ACIM stresses that forgiveness is really a way to internal peace and liberation from the burdens of resentment and anger.
Still another simple concept of A Program in Miracles could be the indisputable fact that the bodily earth can be an illusion. It posits which our sensory experiences are unreliable indicators of truth and that true notion can only be achieved via a change in consciousness. The Program distinguishes involving the “real world,” which really is a state of peace and oneness beyond the product realm, and the “confidence world,” characterized by anxiety, divorce, and conflict. Based on ACIM, our major function is always to awaken from the dream of the ego world and return to the consciousness of our heavenly nature.
